      Disappointing

      Pros

      Working with a market leader, learning enormous amounts about how to manage, conduct business, interact with other companies

      Cons

      Gradual migration of responsibility to a few key members of a central US-based cabal. Terrible politics. Appraisal system designed to demotivate. Constant focus on measurement irrespective of whether it was a sensible thing to measure or not.

      Pros

      In my experience they pay their people well and genuinely give poor performers a good opportunity to improve. They also have excellent benefits in both health and PTO.

      Cons

      If you're in sales you can't really take your full PTO. It's also corporate so you have to deal with TPS reports and the like. I didn't feel they had enough analysts when I was a sales rep. They seemed to run their primary delivery machine (the analysts) to death.

      Access to everyone, you have to turn down information and meetings; intelligent colleagues in order to discuss trends with; wide distribution of your research; freedom to create and explore; understanding managers (generally) who understand your needs

      Cons

      Heavy demands, not enough hours in the day; difficult to maintain work/life balance; managers aren't given a lot of room to manage; changing strategies; senior management that knows it needs to make changes to work needs, but doesn't; process, process, process; constantly changing strategies and initiatives; senior product people that suck
