      Pros

      The consulting branch Gartner is a great place for strong individuals. If you are a person that requires close guidance and supervision, you might not feel good there. Gartner has a great market reputation when it comes to research. For consulting, the market recognition is somewhat limited.

      Cons

      As many other firms, Gartner is very number-driven. If you are achieving your sales and revenue targets, you will have no problems, but if not, you might soon have an issue.

      Access to first rate IP. Access to high profile clients. Very international setup Flexible working arrangements. Very positive work environment.

      Cons

      Compensation low compared to industry average. Slow promotion, the structure is very senior, few juniors are present. Project approach somewhat unstructured

      Pros

      Heavy emphasis on valuing employee for who they are and not what they've done. Has the ability to recognise talent and take risks on new employees. Nutures and develops raw talent.

      Cons

      Poor communication in the early stages and gone back on verbal promises. Management seem preoccupied at times and forget meetingds previously arranged. However management do admit when this happens and correct the problem almost immediately.
