Management is highly reactive and relies heavily on micromanagement rather than clear, proactive leadership. Strong performance is not recognized and formal reviews and bonuses do not exist here. Employees are expected to take on additional responsibilities, including training new hires, without any increase in pay. Feedback to management is dismissed and met with defensiveness, and concerns are minimized rather than addressed. Policies are inconsistently enforced and frequently change. Employees are written up for minor “violations,” yet management is unable to point to where those policies are documented. The “rules” change weekly and without notice, and if you “violate” them even unknowingly, you will be written up. The management style consists of yelling, demeaning, and punishing. When employees raised concerns about management, they were told that if they were unhappy, they could leave. Within six weeks, eight employees did.
