Pros

1. Pay is okay for the area (though lower than most hospital systems) 2. Benefits are good, so long as you just go to Geisinger owned facilities

Cons

1. Employees are treated as no more than a means to make the company money 2. Job security within IT is a joke 3. Management/Higher-Ups are very unaware of what is going on 4. What's 'Work/Life Balance'?

We think of our team as family, so giving them support and showing our appreciation is of the utmost importance to us. At Geisinger, we take pride in providing an acceptable work-life balance for our employees, and while work at Geisinger can require a lot of hard work and dedication, it should never consistently interfere with an employee’s personal life, especially their family. We ensure that your feedback is heard and will keep your advice in mind when moving forward.

Great Employer for a Rural Area

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Great benefits and pay considering you are in a rural location. Room for career growth and development along with job stability. PTO, healthcare, and 401K are way above average with a decent tuition reimbursement benefit as well. Good work/life balance if you have the right boss.

Cons

Pay disparity and favoritism on a minor scale does exist; however, this can be said for any company large or small. For me, the pros outweigh the cons.
