• "We can do it better than anyone" culture leading to continuous reinvention of the wheel in areas where little to no innovation is possible • Highly nepotistic environment in pockets with little regard for qualifications or suitability to level • Difficult to assimilate and penetrate existing cliques and preferred candidate networks (Longtime Genentech vs new to Genenetech)
