There are a lot of Pros to working at Genentech- the campus is beautiful, the benefits are sufficient, the pay is competitive, and the cafeterias and onsite amenities are amazing.

Cons

It's a large company, so ultimately, its boils down to your manager's engagement and whether or not they are helping to develop you and further your career. There is favoritism. There are exceptions. There is entitlement. There are bad managers.
