Solid mission, good culture, deep pockets

Cons

Lives in the shadow of its parent, Roche. IT is not a function that promotes career development. My advice is to transfer to a business function if you want to stay with the company long-term. Recently outsourced much of US delivery and support to Canada and Costa Rica

Exceptional benefits and perks nearly unmatched by others. Caters to an exceptional workplace experience. Probably spoils employees so they never feel the need to move.

Cons

Hierarchy is everywhere. People stay in the same positions for decades. Slow moving and full or red-tape. Managers tend to be great individual contributors no people person managers.

Pros

Excellent modern facilities and open floor office spaces. Many company and department-wide activities that make for a strong company culture. Excellent work-life balance with work schedule flexibility.

Cons

Great for management roles and above. Otherwise, the jump into study management could be supported more in an environment where true collaboration to uplift every team member and make them better, seems to be sorely missing for a company of this magnitude and reputation. Mid-level management usually don't seem to have a good grasp of their title which is "management".
