      Pros

      Great pipeline. Dedicated people. Beautiful campus. Good services. Easy work load. Used to be 5 stars

      Cons

      Lots of process. Cult of Genentech behavior is blinding. Too passive and not aggressive. Lots of politics. Mostly management of CRO's and agencies now with little meaningful work. Cost of bay area rising faster than pay, so seriously need to consider any job before coming to Genentech. I would say that they need cross the board raises of 15-20% to keep up with bay area.

      Smart co-workers, lovely campus, great benefits. Working in manufacturing is intellectually challenging.

      Cons

      No one is secure. I went on sabbatical, First day back, I was laid off. I got a great severance package tho!!!
