Pros

Some of the people that work here.

Cons

Some of the management is not friendly towards women. Plus it is difficult to move around in the company if you are not a yes person. Management has a habit of scolding people in front of their peers and humiliate the person.

Review of Generac Power Systems I recently had the opportunity to experience Generac Power Systems from the inside, and I must say that there are some significant concerns that I feel compelled to share. While the company has its strengths, such as a leader in the generator market, several issues severely hamper its overall effectiveness and the satisfaction of its employees, customers, and dealers. Communication Breakdown One of the most glaring problems is the extensive chain of command within the organization. The hierarchy is so convoluted that communication frequently gets lost in translation. As a result, employees' concerns, valuable feedback, and even critical issues often fail to reach the right ears. This lack of streamlined communication hinders the company's ability to respond promptly to emerging challenges and opportunities. Inaccessible Management Another concerning aspect is the difficulty in reaching the management that can drive meaningful change. It often feels like customers, and dealers are left in the dark when trying to convey their voices and concerns. In a customer-centric world, this inaccessibility to management is a major drawback. Open channels for customer and dealer feedback and a responsive approach are essential for building trust and improving business relationships. Inadequate Pay and Compensation The pay and compensation structure at Generac Power Systems is another area of concern. Regardless of how much effort employees put into their roles, it seems that recognition and rewards are limited. A fair compensation system is essential for motivating and retaining talent, and the current approach falls short in this regard. Nepotism Issues Furthermore, nepotism appears to be a recurring issue within the company. This practice not only undermines the morale of deserving employees but also results in the loss of great talent. Merit-based hiring and promotions should be the cornerstone of any successful organization, and nepotism disrupts this balance. In conclusion, while Generac Power Systems has its merits, the issues of communication breakdown, inaccessibility to management, compensation, and nepotism pose significant challenges that need immediate attention. The company should consider implementing transparent communication channels, revising compensation structures, and addressing nepotism to ensure a fair and inclusive work environment. It's my hope that these concerns will be addressed, and Generac Power Systems can reach its full potential.
