Great company to work at. Very aggressive style, Loves to compete and win. Lots of opportunities for growth in your professional career. If you are a self starter with a drive to succeed there are many opportunities to do so at Generac. You can make your own future. The company promotes and rewards results. Lots of investments have been made in the future of the company.

Cons

Not a place for everyone. But a great place to succeed if you are the type of person who takes control of your own future.

Market leadership Reinvests in product R&D and facility upgrades Open to change

Product cost is too high of a priority (quality, timeline, features, etc. are sacrificed) Everything moves slow (processes, projects, improvement efforts, etc.) Facilities are in the middle of nowhere In order to get a promotion, need to leave the company and then return, threaten to leave the company, or change departments Below average benefits package (especially the options for healthcare providers, unless you pay for the premium package) Not competitive with vacation days offerings (2 weeks / year, despite 10+ years of industry experience) Planning and vision seems to be limited to only a 1 year outlook

No training, growth for growth's sake and uncontrolled, pace is "crisis mode" all the time. The employee is not considered a stakeholder in the company.
