Pros

I have worked in 4 different industries, with multiple companies over 24 years, and General Atomics is the best company I have worked for so far. I do understand that my direct leadership and peers do play a role in this, but I have had a very positive experience overall with the overall company culture. A few things I thoroughly enjoy about working here is the flexibility I have in my schedule. My position allows me to work from home a couple of days a week, and allows flexibility on start and end times, which is so important, as we are human and life happens. I am a seasoned professional, and our leadership trusts us to get our jobs done, which is empowering. I am also very happy with my pay, our benefits (which includes a pension), and the amenities at the office - we have a gym, heated saltwater lap pool, cafe, basketball court, volley ball court, and sand tennis court, plus beautiful walking paths with water features and sitting areas - its a very beautiful campus. I also really enjoy working with my coworkers. Everyone I have interacted with so far has been professional and respectful - that doesn't mean that we agree on everything, we do bring different view points and opinions to the table, but we are able to engage in professional discussions and come to decisions together in a productive way, I feel confident sharing my opinion and viewpoint without fear, which has not been my experience at previous companies. I also love the core values that drive the company, the culture, and the decision making process. There is room for improvement, which I will discuss in my Cons section, but the pros far outweigh the cons in my opinion.

Cons

Approvals on certain topics take an exceptionally long time and can delay progress. Other times approvals are very fast - it really depends on the topic. Finding ways to expedite approvals to foster progress would be a great benefit.

Pros

GA-ASI has been on cutting edge of uncrewed aircraft for 30+ years and isn't slowing down. If you've got what it takes to excel in an every changing environment there is constant change and unlimited upward mobility.

Cons

Motivate yourself! GA-ASI doesn't reward those that expect handouts or say "I'd work harder if I got paid more"; if you want good/regular pay raises it's on the individual to excel and be awesome.
