Pros

Usually a decent work-life balance. Job security: even if a project drops, they'll try to find a way to shift you to another part of the company. You're always working on something new. Lots of room to learn and grow, expand and shift your role/responsibilities Fair pay scale, decent bonuses

Cons

As a government contractor, customer funding can shift because of administration change, which can affect work They have allowed DEI and woke policies gain a foothold, even though they are a privately-owned company Slow to adapt to new technologies and ways of operating

Pros

Less bureaucracy, more engineering! It's refreshing. As a privately owned company, engineers are given more opportunity to make a difference.

Cons

Too many projects, can't work on them all.
