Pros

The compensation packages are good.

Cons

The company is understaffed and suffers from high attrition due to unfavorable work/life balance. Remote work is minimal and frowned upon. Leadership is aging and not in touch with current employment/benefit expectations.

Pros

There is a lot of access here to interesting technologies Coasting is easy

Cons

The more managers and "senior" level roles become involved in projects, the more issues occur. A lot of these positions can't even do the work themselves so it's not a surprise when they have a failure since they are unable to understand true nature of work. The best leaders here are the ones who succeeded in a technical role before moving into a leadership one. The pay and raises seem low but really that is a problem of san diego as a whole due to rich people moving here.
