Requests for clarification or adherence to standard procedures are met with resistance, deflection, or silence. Raising legitimate concerns is quietly noted — and later punished. If you value ethical leadership, procedural integrity, ask direct questions about how compliance concerns are handled. Pay close attention to how defensive the answers become.
