      Pros

      Good environment with great people at all levels. Salary is decent. Benefits are competitive. Company invests in employees education and training. 401k matching.

      Cons

      As with almost all defense contractors, the business cycle are determined by forces other than market conditions. Layoffs sometimes happen as contracts end, markets dry up and business units consolidate. Contractual requirements can seem burdensome.

      decent insurance with not so bad out of pocket expenses. 401K is pretty much on-par with other employers.

      Cons

      GD overall is a very good company; but local management team is woefully clueless.
