      Interesting work on the embedded side of the house. Unfortunately the other business lines are not winning anything lately.2

      Cons

      Reductions in workforce continue and those remaining have low morale and frozen wages.

      Pros

      Generally take good care of their people, decent benefits, interesting work for a good cause.

      Cons

      At the moment the defense industry is in difficulty overall as the market has shrunk and become extremely competitive. GD has taken a traditional approach and slashed overhead support which is OK in the short term but the long terms effects will be felt. There is no clear strategy to get out of this that employees understand right now.
