      Pros

      The working schedule is flexible. You can choose to work 10 days per two week period with eight hours a day or 9 working days per two week with 9 hours a day for 8 days and eight hours for the ninth day, then you will have one Friday off. The people at work are very friendly and helpful.

      Cons

      The cafeteria has no hot lunch. There are vending machines with all kind of soft drink, sandwiches, cakes etc... I wish the cafeteria has hot lunch with a variety of menu to choose from.

      Pros

      The GD culture closely matches that of the military. I worked with professionals who cared that we delivered a quality product to our military customer.

      Cons

      Your progress in the company sometimes mirrors the rank you held in the military. They do recognize quality workers, but it is still very much a "good ole boy" network.

      Good company with a weird organizational structure

      Pros

      The people and the work were great. In all honesty my manager at GDAIS was one of the best I have ever experienced. He was always straight with me and really did look out for team. The work was interesting and the business unit I was a part of was definitely aggressive and progressive.

      Cons

      Unfortunately the things I liked about the company did not seem to exist outside of my particular office. The company was slow to respond and executive turnover seemed high, but those are to be expected in a company the size of GD. Part of the problem is that the business unit I was in was run under a matrix style organizational model so communicating and understanding who was responsible for what could get confusing.
