Pros

Work-life balance is pretty good. Can't complain there.

Cons

The management at corporate headquarters has no idea that things are as bad as they are. Process is overdone and production isn't quality.

Thank you for your review. As you are likely aware, defense contracting experiences ebbs and flows, and this has not been more apparent than over the past few years. With the merge of General Dynamics C4 Systems and General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems around the corner, however, we are looking forward to new growth and positive changes. Please keep an eye on our monthly internal newsletter in your email inbox for current happenings and news about the upcoming merge.

Tragic. Could have been a great place to work.

Pros

- 9/80 pay period was great. You work 9 hour days and get every other Friday off. - For me, the work was great- technically challenging and very rewarding. - The people I worked with were top-notch. There were few, if any, people I didn't like.

Cons

- Upper management can't stop themselves from treating the employees poorly. This meant annual reductions in benefits, poor raises, and zero incentives or retention. - Because of the first reason, employee morale was low. - Long-term employment was not encouraged. Corporate philosophy was to bring in junior engineers and NCGs to replace experienced people that left. - Company regularly gets in the way of progress rather than fosters it.

Pros

Good compensation and benefits, although the benefits have been reduced somewhat significantly in the past 3 years. Most employees are competent and dedicated.

Cons

The company has gone too far in workforce reduction, to the point that their ability to execute on existing contracts is jeopardized. A few absolutely critical people have been "released" by managers who were put into their positions recently and really didn't know their people or who the strongest performers were; hence they laid off resources critical to on-going work. The "survivors" are now truly over-worked. Acquisitions over the past several years have almost all turned out to have been major mistakes. But, there has been almost no accountability for these mistakes.
