Compensation is fair. People are generally friendly. Management is open to suggestions for improvements.

Cons

Occasional firehouse culture - everything needs to be done yesterday. Some employees are very resistant to any sort of change. Office culture emphasizes underachievement. This isn't really a good place for very ambitious and motivated people.

Supportive management staff, high profile contracts, and unique work environment make NASSCO one of the best places to work in San Diego. Plus you are on the water all of the time!

Cons

Limited compensation package and educational assistance. However if you perform in your job and let your voice be heard this should not be an issue.
