      Great company to work for!

      Pros

      Great benefits and work environment. Co-workers are superb and constantly strive to improve our product. General Dynamics is Vet friendly and this particular job allows me to remain in contact with the Navy.

      Cons

      Challenge of maintaining schedules in the face of ship delivery and Navy crew needs. At times, it is tough getting final design and technical support information from government/3rd party vendors.

      Pros

      The travel can be really interesting and it's easy to coast if you don't want to work hard. I really like the 9/80 schedule having every other Friday off.

      Cons

      Compensation and benefits aren't great and there is a lot of bureaucracy to deal with day to day. There are a few really smart people but most are below average.
