      Pros

      You have a very good job security in this company. The work pressure is not high. Managers are polite and educated people.

      Cons

      Managers are not good leaders. People don't care about company's future. If you want to work for a leading company axsys is not the place.

      Pros

      Frendly work space, very good equipment, reasonable pay scale and promotions from within company and very good 401k and investment ops.

      Cons

      More overtime requirement than necessary, limited parking space for POV, over growded traffic and wasted time traveling to and from work.

      Pros

      Being a large company, there are plenty of professional growth opportunities. If you want to get in on some of the larger, more drawn out, defense contracts out there however, GD provides that opportunity. Work-life balance was great as well.

      Cons

      Climbing the ladder here takes time, and connections. It seems that many employees stick around the same junior to mid-level job for a few years or more.
