Great place to start off your career as an event planner, good benefits, ok salary for event planning professionals, fun industry to be in.

Cons

benefits and salaries have been cut in recent years due to the economic recession, there is not enough staff. Too much travel and long hours.

Pros

The ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program) was nice, and had a lot of income potential if you can stick around long enough. The projects were interesting to work on, and you got to go to some fun destinations.

Cons

When the economy took a dive, so did a good chunk of the workforce. A whole year went by as we all huddled in our offices/cubicles wondering who would get the axe next. Those who were left behind were required to work harder and longer, or else lose their own job. I can appreciate the need to keep the corporation lean, but the way they treated their employees was, well, very corporate.
