      Been here long enough to clearly see the glass ceiling.

      Pros

      Good pay for hourly employees with good benifit package such as insurance. Union covered for most workers so raises are under contract.

      Cons

      Company has repeatedly treated union covered employees with little respect. Company has no progression program unless you are an engineer.

      Pros

      I have not been working for Georgia Power very long, but everyone that I have met in the company is very nice and most are committed to doing their jobs well.

      Cons

      Since most people stay at the company until retirement, job openings can be a rare occurrence which might make it more difficult to move up and advance.
