Pros
Good benefits, a few decent people, nice facilities.
Cons
Advancement is based mostly on who you know with little regard for job knowledge or ability. This has actually created a systemic effect where most of the management doesn't know how to run a company because all they're good at is networking and interviewing. Whenever the problems stemming from this come to a head, their solution is to "reorg" which basically means change titles for some of the management, shuffle people around a little, and get rid of the vocal free thinkers. I worked in a area that had done several cost analysis studies and determined each time that our area was actually profitable for the company. Their solution: fire half of us, double the work on the "lucky" half that kept our jobs. It got to a point where we had to QA our own work rather than have a dedicated person do it. But you know, that PPP was great the following year and the year after.
