Pros

The admin, professional and student staff have a strong survival bond and support one another. There is a consistent eye-out for one another.

Cons

Constant threat of job loss looms over the heads of most subordinate staff. There is nowhere to complain due to the overwhelming support from student affairs leadership and university attorneys.

Pros

The location in the heart of downtown, lots of great established programs, lots of amenities, competitive benefits, Diverse campus, Tuition Assistance Program available for any degree you gained admissions to, Great group of students to work with, Updated technology and computer software

Cons

Lots of politics involved, Very business related and not student focused, Questionable administration decisions and the HR department, Administration can burden with too much work and not enough staff assistance, Hiring practices of certain departments is very questionable and could cross as unethical, Instead of hiring a professional staff members they rather have lots of graduate assistants and student workers to replace the load of one professional staff members, Response times for certain action items can be very slow especially from supervisors and upper administration, Focus on school ratings and rankings is very high, Faculty and Staff have to pay for parking each month through payroll deduction, Negativity is very high in the work place, From observations, moving up to higher positions isn't likely they rather bring in an outside higher than chose one of their own current staff
