Pros

Top notch research, vast depth and breadth of opportunities, access to software and tools that are not available everywhere

Cons

It's easy to get lost in the masses, as they turn over a huge number of masters students and take in a large number of PhD students.

Pros

opportunity to learn stuff; tuition waiver; GRA can count for 3 credit hours. Can combine GRA work with own thesis.

Cons

Really depends on who the adviser is; stipend is not so good; for some major, you have to pay extra tuition.

Pros

Nice campus, heart of downtown ATL, awesome professors, talented students all around. Expect great prospects, but also be prepared to work hard, as competition is intense.

Cons

Surrounding neighbourhoods can be unsafe for students. No post-doctoral association, and some departments are not required to adhere to the NIH minimum salary scale.
