Pros

Large international software, machinery and service business. Great people, interesting products and customers.

Cons

The corporate parent lost it's focus in 2000's and went on acquisition spree that never delivered the growth planned, saddled the company with debt and distracted everybody from doing what made us successful in the first place. The end result is the business was sold to 2 different private equity firms and finally they exited by selling to the largest competitor from France.

Pros

Great project opportunities and ability to work cross-functional. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities is key and there is usually great recognition for this. A very diverse group with a mix of new and veteran employees.

Cons

Management could be more in-tune with their teams and general employees. General recognition and advancement opportunities could be a bit better and more fore-frontal. Budget issues also typically stall projects and create overall low moral among engineers etc.
