Pros

Benefits, WFH, colleagues and individual team cultures are all wonderful.

Cons

2023 has been a hard year for Getty. The growth projections sr leadership put out were completely unrealistic, and the company is paying for it. Sr leadership is almost completely lacking in diversity, and the CFO and CRO are out of touch with the market, company, and need of their employees. Sales teams have had to take on additional responsibilities within the company, with some teams working 3 jobs in 1 role. The commission plan is a joke, overly complicated and inconsistent across teams. There are tons of silos across the business, making it difficult to coordinate across teams. It's a shame; this used to be a great place to work.

Pros

Colleagues are not only exceptional in their field but all so nice too. It's a really amazing place to work and the people make it like home. Fully embraced flexible work practises. My role is varied and I'm always moving onto new exciting and rewarding projects. Strong morals and ethics to move the world with amazing images. Managers care about their reports.

Cons

Working cross functionally and across timezones can mean some evening meetings.

Hi, there! Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for all the work you've done for us throughout the last 10+ years of your career. Our day-to-day business is guided by our Leadership Principles and Operating Principles, and we fully believe it is this thought system that helps make Getty Images a great place to work. I'm glad to hear you've enjoyed the flexible work options; we always want employees to have the autonomy to work in ways that best support them and their individual lifestyles, while also appropriately supporting the business. There are many advantages to being a global company, but we understand this can also come with some required flexibility from time to time. As you mentioned, sometimes this means attending an evening meeting. Our leaders do their best to remain fair amongst all time zones and we appreciate your flexibility and support if it means having to adjust your schedule for an evening. Our teams do their best to record meetings that may be too late or early for some of our folks in certain time zones, so please know watching back a recording is always an alternate option! If you have any other feedback you'd like to share about this, or any other topic, please feel free to email me at sarah.dudley@gettyimages.com!

Hello, thank you for your review! It's great to see you've had a positive experience with the culture we've created, as well as your work/life balance. We want all of our employees to feel supported and try to find ways to ensure they are able to successfully support the business while also working in ways that best suit their needs. We believe our Leadership Principles and Flexible Work Principles help us continue to do this! In terms of lack of investment in education, I would love to hear more details if you're willing to share. As a starting point, we do offer Udemy for Business, which is an extensive catalog of free online courses for employees. These courses cover a large area of subject matters and can be taken during the workday to help further an employee's development in various areas. In addition to this, we have a large library of Work Ramp courses that provide additional knowledge to employees on company topics and policies. Are there specific educational investments you are seeking? If so, I would love to hear more - your feedback is what helps us prioritize potential future offerings for employees. Feel free to email me at sarah.dudley@gettyimages.com to discuss!
