GitLab does a great job making it feel like you're valued. Generally treat their employees well. Will have to wait and see how much upward mobility there is!

remote culture and asynch work

Cons

introduction of many many layers of middle management 'professionals' to fluff head count in preparation for IPO, resulted in dilution and loss of the culture that made the company what it once was.
