Pros

I mean, there are literally so many "pros" that it's almost impossible to list them all, but I guess the ones that aren't so easily obvious (in the GitLab handbook!); the team are all really, really lovely, happy to help and very welcoming. You're given a large degree of autonomy, with a simple motto: "Make GitLab great!". It's definitely a company that is on the up-and-up.

Cons

It's the flip-side of some of the pros, really; the fully remote aspect certainly isn't for everyone, as is the expectation to self-motivate and be generally autonomous.

Pros

- Everything is documented, easy to get on board - Everyone is very kind and willing to help out - Massive growth over the past years which leads to great dynamics - All-remote and flexible working hours which leads to great work-life balance.

Cons

Some growth pains as a lot of people recently joined, things can be chaotic and unstructured. Timezones can be tough too. But all not a real showstopper.

Pros

Form my 1st day in Gitlab, I saw that everyone is there to help you, to answer your questions so you can integrate more easily. Everyone is involved and the company's values are a way of living. 1) Understands the importance of spending time with your family and friends 2)Helps me to grow as a Talent Sourcer, but also as a person 3)Knows the importance of their values and takes them seriously 4)Promotes self care

Cons

These are not cons, but advices. 1) Because we are working remotely, don't forget to take your time and go outside 2)Try to have as many coffee chats (small meetings) as you can so you can meet a lot of people from the company.

Thank you for your review, and for the great advice to others about remote work! It's so important to take breaks and time away from work when you need it. Dropping a link to our handbook page about time off for those interested in learning more: https://about.gitlab.com/handbook/paid-time-off/
