Pros

The team is great, from day one you're part of the GitLab family. Even with everybody being remote (everyone works from home) there is so much "water cooler talk/coffee break talk" going on; during daily team calls, on Slack, emails; everywhere! It's a high paced work environment which keeps you energized and on your toes to get the best quality work done.

Cons

Since everyone is remote it can be a little quiet as it's just you at your "office". Would love to be able to grab lunch with some colleagues. On the other hand, it's a great way to visit coworkers in a different part of the country or world; work together and travel anywhere you'd like.

Remote-only gem

Pros

One of the best companies I've worked for. I'm working on a fantastic product, doing work I love, with a great team of smart, capable, friendly people. Being remote-only allows a tremendous focus on work-life balance, but is really only the start. The leadership goes beyond to explicitly share a vision for flexibility as seen in the publicly available handbook.

Cons

Joining a fully remote workforce can be daunting for some. Dealing with coworkers from all over the world can be challenging since different cultural norms and expectations will arise.
