Managers in their own world

Pros

Most of the ICs at GitLab are great people who want to help.

Cons

Almost all of the managers are career-obsessed and only care about looking good for their manager. The talent assessment process has no back-and-forth with the ICs and holds no relation to the real world. Sid also trying to overhaul the company culture by changing the values without due process from general team members speaks highly to the value they have for everyone's opinion. I would be shocked if GitLab was still a nice place to work at by next year.

Pros

-Iteration for every single process - very flat and transparent organization. so we can really understand the company strategy etc, even if it’s bit of internal politics.

Cons

-In the market, there is huge competitor, so not easy to sell. The company requires only real professional -the speed of change is fast, and need to be adaptive these changes
