Pros

I can't honestly come up with even one to put here.

Cons

When I first started working at Glass Doctor Edmonton I agreed to start at a lower rate $19/hr based only on the promise that after a month of me showing my abilities that the wage would be increased by a dollar and then again at my 3 month review by a couple more dollars, as what they are even currently advertising this position for pay is not what was offered based on needing to prove yourself once I actually went for the interview. My raise technically was given of the dollar after the first month but conveniently was "forgotten" on my check that is only paid ONCE a month. I worked my little but off every day that I went to work there over just under 3 months working anywhere from an 1 1/2 to 2 hours of overtime every day without any overtime pay as they Do Not Pay overtime but I still thought I was doing them a kindness trying to catch up the months of paper work and emails and accounting they were behind from the other "horrible employees" I'm sure I was fed lies about that had came and left before me........and of course I was trying to prove myself. While doing this I had to witness multiple arguments that one of the "Owners", the daughter of the Family, one of the most entitled and narcissistic people I've ever met, would have with other staff, her two brothers or even coming at myself once after being sworn at on the phone multiple times by a customer berating me and calling me stupid because because I had simply asked them not to be rude to me. When any situation would arise where she had overlooked or made a mistake in something she had done for work it was always one of our faults and even with written email proof or undeniable evidence put in front of her that the oversight was hers after belittling and berating one of us for it, no apologies would be given. There were many times during my training that I asked this "Owner" for instructions in something I hadn't yet done and was told she herself didn't know how to do what I was asking and I taught myself, or from the only other kind and reasonable person in the office that they treat like a slave, working 300+hrs a month without overtime, I would learn when she could spare a second from being completely overloaded. I learnt very quickly and had done everything I felt I could to try to be an asset to the company in my time there and was promised my raise at my 3 months multiple times over my time there as I was told constantly what a good job I was doing and how fast I was learning......then the week that we were to discuss my raise and benefits I was sent a text at 700pm at night on a Sunday telling me my help was no longer required to come in that following morning. I had caught up everything they were needing me too for dirt cheap and had completely been used and as soon as they were to honor the agreement that was made and pay the proper wage that was promised and provide benefits all of a sudden the job I was doing wasn't good enough!!!!! I was the 5th person this year that they have done this too. DO NOT FALL FOR IT, ITS THEIR M/O. The office is absolutely disgusting for cleanliness as well where they refuse to get a cleaner to come in EVER and expect the front end staff to clean the kitchen/lunch room and bathrooms behind 6 to 8 men that don't lift a finger ever to clean up behind themselves. When I left the men's urinal had been plugged and overflowing with pee for a week and they just closed the door and did nothing......
