Pros

Glassdoor is a start-up that has proven to meet a consumer need. We have established ourselves as the place to go to research jobs and companies. And there is huge upside from here. The team is still small enough that every single person in the company plays a meaningful role. But we're expanding which will allow for more career growth. Our product is about transparency of information for employees. We embrace that value internally. We hold regular meetings where all details about the state of the company are shared.

Cons

The fast pace of start-up isn't for everyone. Be prepared for rapid change and being flexible with your role. Everyone here has to be willing to roll up his/her sleeves and get dirty.

Pros

Good people, generous time off and low pressure environment.

Cons

Constantly change priorities, project started and stoped due to lack of direction from management. Multiple rounds of layoffs which lead to a major brain drain. Over all down beat feeling coming from upper management leading to expecting a layoff at anytime.

Glassdoor Response

It’s great to hear that you experienced the generosity and support of our teams, even during challenging times. I also recognize the frustration that can come from shifting priorities and project changes. In technology, choosing the right long-term bets is essential. We’re focused on sharpening our strategy so that our efforts create lasting value for the business and our customers. AI is one piece of the puzzle, but we’re also investing in solutions that drive sustainable growth and meaningful impact. Feedback like this highlights the need for clarity and steady execution, and those remain key priorities as we move forward. - Rodrigo Oliveira | Chief Technology Officer, Glassdoor
