Pros

Great company, competitive benefits, great location in downtown Des Moines. For a new company, I've been very impressed with this company. It seems like they took all the best aspects of established organizations and combined them into one. They expect employees to do their job, and for the most part, allow them the space to do it.

Cons

The receptionist a bit nutty. There are some people in upper levels that make you wonder how they got their position.

Gossip mongrels, unethical practices

Pros

They very often have free lunches, and parties and if you are the "in" you will be invited to after parties where the company flips the bill.

Cons

Many unethical practices, gossiping and if you don't fly like the rest of them, you are let go. They lie about many incidents which was just a ploy to get some people out the door. They monitor everything you do, a lot of micro-management. You are not allowed to think on your own. The HR department is not educated on the proper, ethical practices, HIPPA laws, diversity (they don't know the meaning) how to treat people (with respect), how deal with employee communications. HR was informed of personal health and then they were disclosed to co-workers and management, not honoring HIPPA laws. They company expects OT without compensations. Some individuals are allowed to be social butterflies, and instead of addressing these individuals, they just tell everyone that "it is ok" for those insubordinate Individuals to be on FACEBOOK all day long, being unproductive and lazy. There were many incidents of intimidation and threats! One department was so loud and obnoxious, swearing and cussing at one another in loud voices, very disrespectful, sexual harassing environment.
