Pros
Good Pay Great Benefits New Equipment
Cons
Only time in my working career that doing the objective right thing has proven to be a hindrance rather then a benefit. Lots of scared managers running around from meeting room to meeting room, stammering about cutting costs and value engineering and setting department policies that are reminiscent of 1950's McCarthyism. Meanwhile, the engineers and rank and file workers are left completely alone to figure out what work needs to be done, without any direction, support, and without any feeling of ownership. Resources are misappropriated and underestimated. Vendors have more control over the GF equipment than the actual system owners. Most employees feel broken due to lack of ownership and lack of management's support.
