Pros

The employees and benefits are fantastic. Some of my best friends are also my coworkers at GoCo

Cons

The pay is absolutely awful. The “board” approves way below the median for pay if you aren’t one of the VPs. After multiple raises I’m still 30% below median pay with excuses that “next time it’ll be better” every time despite glowing performance ratings across every performance review

Pros

They pay on time twice a month.

Cons

They are a "tech" company that does things completely manual. They don't have the resources or knowledge needed to compete in the market. Unless you are in the cool kids clique, you are out of luck. They mostly hire and promote young people because anyone with any experience or tenure can see the red flags. They brag that this is their third start up, however the first two sold very quickly. It is clear that while they are good at starting up, they are not good at doing what needs to be done to maintain a healthy sustainable business.
