Overworked, terrible tips

Pros

Nice coworkers. Some schedule flexibility depending on management.

Cons

You work huge sections and people drink a ton expecting immediate refills. Guests fill multiple plates full, barely eat it and go get more so you’re constantly bussing huge stacks of full dishes in your large serving sections without enough time to keep up. Guests do not tip, or barely tip. Since it’s a buffet setup they don’t think it’s necessary and you still get paid the minimum server wage. You are not allowed to eat the food unless you buy it by the weight. Forget mashed potatoes. If you do sneak food you’ll be fired for it.
