The Pay is Great, even in the challenging economic situation. You're surrounded by very, very bright people, even if a lot of them are nervous right now. Goldman is just about the last man standing of the old line investment banks, and Management are not a bunch of river boat gamblers.

Surrounded by Quality technologists. smart people who know how to collaborate. Those who work hard and have the ability ot impact and influnce the organization around them will be given careers. If you deliver for the organization you will be rewarded. Fair organization when dealing with staff and their issues. A lot of managers are compassionate and willing to assist staff especially when an issue may arise

long hours, 24x7 culture. takes time to be promoted and there is a culture of clique in certain organizations within the firm. Although feedback is given sometimes it's more of a process than a collaborative effort to improve someone professionally.
