It was lovely to read your positive feedback about the modest, smart and caring people that work at Gong (I couldn't agree more :-)). We are always looking for areas where we can improve inclusion and belonging and value your insight. Thanks for being part of the team! - Suni Lobo (CPO)

Pros

- Raving fans - Gong's product is top tier, loved by customers, and Product builds things based on customer feedback. - Teammates - Gong generally hires strong talent, and while a large portion of the company is fully remote, the bonds between teammates are still quite strong despite that. - CEO does a really nice job of being involved with customers and also building a community with employees (like if in town, he hosts a lunch or happy hour)

Cons

- Lack of diversity (especially at leadership) + women in leadership. Gong 2 years ago looked different from the Gong of today. With the new CRO coming onboard in mid-2023, the company revenue leaders are beginning to feel like more straight white men who come from Utah, and the culture and morale of the Revenue organization has turned - nobody feels energized or excited. - Lack of leader transparency: we've had many senior leaders turn over (whether by choice or by being pushed out) - it started in Sales, then moved to Customer Success and Ops, and both leaders and reps aside are being trimmed. - Changes in roles & responsibilities of Customer Success - more responsibilities, more involvement in the commercials, unclear if our compensation will actually increase - With quick product evolution comes the need to stay on top of the changes. - Lack of career progression: given the company is not growing as rapidly as it was in 2020 and 2021, many CS reps are stuck in roles for longer than they should be, unable to get promoted to a higher segment or even senior roles in their existing segment

Thank you for sharing your feedback. It’s great to know that you appreciate the remote flexibility, sales training, and development. However, reading your feedback on your experience with culture, compensation, and management was challenging. We strive to support the entire team in reaching quota attainment and provide training from Enablement, & manager coaching during weekly 1:1s for development to help sellers thrive. If that hasn't been your experience, I apologize. If you want to discuss further, my door is always open. - Suni Lobo (CPO)
