Pros

-The bar for talent is second to none. Everyone that is employed here is at the top of their craft. -I've never worked at a company that innovates the product at the speed Gong does. -We use the product we sell, and therefore are highly convicted in the value we can provide. -The market opportunity is unlimited, and I believe Gong has barely scratched the surface. -The focus on sales process and execution is world class. Not everyone finds success, however, nobody leaves Gong without learning the most they have in their sales career.

Cons

-The pace can be hard to keep up with. There are lofty and demanding goals. This is not the right environment for everyone. -The market is getting more competitive (although Gong remains the clear leader in the space).

So overhired

Pros

Great tech, I recommended and bought it for my current time, however the Gong team drastically overhired think that post Covid growth was going to continue. Many industries with concerns around litigation, recording customer calls is a non-starter, such as Financial Services and Pharma.

Cons

Unrealistic view of their place in the market and the value they are trying to provide. Great extension to CRM, but no where near as essential as they would have you think. In fact, it's the most expensive tool in the space, you really have to work hard to convince the prospect why. Definitely the best product, but is it 2x better? That's what you are competing with. Path to success is very poor, I would recommend the Enterprise team vs Strategic.

We appreciate you taking the time to post a review. Seeing your positive feedback about the product was great, but it was difficult to read your comments about team size and market positioning. We are growing in a new category and continue to expand our platform’s capabilities and the value we deliver to customers, which can sometimes impact positioning. We keep up with industry trends & we recently updated our segmentation to create more opportunities for all AE’s going forward. If you have additional feedback, feel free to reach out directly. - Laura Wilson (Intierm CPO)
