Pros

As far as employers go in the datacenter technical operations go, Google by far are the best. Offering ample opportunities for growth, pay and being your best self.

Cons

Definitely the middle management and chains along the way.

Pros

Great culture Competitive pay Benefits that put the military to shame (deductible on health insurance is a bit high though) Flexible schedules

Cons

Lots of vagueness in what to work on No formal training structure It's becoming more corporate and management seems to insult people's intelligence from time to time People easily work above their pay grade Their contract (in my location) is very strict, which made me reconsider employment at first
