Pros

Google is a very nice place to work, A lot of new things to work on, flexibility on what you want to work on, and no micromanagement

Cons

it can be tricky for junior people to integrate, it might take a long time and seem like you are not making any progress but it's just the way it is

Pros

Great pay. Great engineering tools. Popular products

Cons

Management has become cynical and opaque. Many employees are obsessed with promotions (because of a huge financial and prestige reward) and the culture is becoming self-centered. The benefits to users have become secondary.
