As a contractor, if you're doing your job well and your client likes you management pretty much leaves you alone.

Cons

If there's issues, or you have questions, management is difficult to reach and get good responses from. Since the company merged with another company a few years ago the corporate side has been a mess and I haven't seen much improvement.
