Pros

Grainger is an good place to work. They have excellent training and a tremendous amount of resources to help you be successful at your job. IMO they are by far the strongest company in the MRO in terms of product depth and breadth as well as some of the brightest people in the industry.

Cons

There has been some leadership changes that have resulted in more micro managing, at least on the sales side. I cant speak for the rest of the companies positions. This has resulted in losing many tenured Account Managers

Miserable

Pros

Was once a great company going downhill fast. At one time it was career and skill expanding. Opportunities for income were good as long as you had a good work ethic.

Cons

Account Managers are required to work all hours to keep up with demands of recording all sales activities, preventing sales activities. Jeff Collier has no idea what he as doing and micromanages each sales person to the point of um-productive status. I can't get out of here fast enough as there is no reward for success or professionalism.
