Freedom, independence, pace of work.

Cons

Low Pay and no career path, no upward mobility. Does not care about employees and a general lack of overall company organization. Company says all the right things about culture, belonging, the company caring about employees, improving benefits, improving customer outcomes, and delivers on none of the promises. They are the picture of a little kid dressed up in a parent's clothing stomping around in shoes that are too big.

It used to be great - colleagues were supportive, and other teams were accessible, supportive, and collaborative. But now staff are being let go without fault, their roles are either not backfilled or they are filled in India - cheaper wages. Teams are understaffed and stretched - there is no sense of job security and growth is non-existent. Rumors are swirling that the company is going to be sold.
