Pros

Used to have a dynamic working environment, nice infrastructure, good team

Cons

There are still some brilliant people as part of the team, but company has lost many of its unique qualities since the merger and as how these things normally end up. Not sure if senior management were concerned with that though

Being part of an evolving company in a fast moving industry naturally means there will be change. One of the most gratifying things about working at Graphcore is how our colleagues respond to that change and embrace new opportunities. Pros

A once a great company

Cons

The company used to be a great team with great solutions working towards cutting edge quality chips, until the higher up management decided to sell the company. Since then things have just been declining. The flows and solutions have been replaced by broken or non-existent ones, the schedules are not realistic, and even the mid-level management have lost their power. The team is suffering and some people are leaving. A disregard to the team basically by selling the company, done by people who once claimed that their mission is not to be merged and acquired and is to IPO as an independent entity

As part of the SoftBank Group, Graphcore is developing the next generation of AI compute. SBG’s commitment to this mission means that we have the resources and support to remain a leading player in this highly competitive field. With any transition comes challenges. However, the overwhelming sense within the company is one of excitement about the opportunity we’re addressing. The AI compute industry is growing rapidly and we’ll need to continue evolving to meet its changing needs. We hope that you continue to be part of the team, helping to shape our future.
