Pros

all the OT you will ever want. Scratch that: Way more OT than whats advantageous for the human body to handle as will begin to wear down quite quickly.

Cons

just about everything you look for in a company is not existent here. You know it's bad when your invited to an orientation of the plant, and the guy showing you around the plant tells you that he has been there 37 years, and regrets he is still there, and that you should probably not take this job. You then take said job even though multiple proverbial warning flags are staring you square in the face, because your thinking of the pay, which in hindsight is awful for the amount of work you will be doing. You have any family? trying to start a family? trying to chase that little dream you told yourself you would never let go, regardless of the job? Forget about it, because Graphic Packaging doesn't allow schedule flexibility, and will guilt trip you for asking for time off...even for attending your sisters wedding...so trust me folks...just keep scrolling down for those other jobs. It will all make sense one day. So, NO set schedules, as schedules can be changed up to two hours prior to your shift! so essentially you better have your phone on you 24/7! so much fun!

Pros

Good pay for this area

Cons

Work a lot of extra days that you should be off due to other people on vacations, always shorthanded with people, HOT environment, the union allows people to be lazy and get away with it

Pros

Benefits that's it unless you like having no life working mandatory 6 days of 12hr shifts back to back week after week but it will get old quick

Cons

The location I worked at was a Union shop and since management isn't part of the Union there was always a massive bridge between the workers and leadership. Management was always pushing everyone till they dropped for health reasons and would never listen to anything the workers had to say since they weren't people but merely tools which are replaceable. Training was non-existing and expectations where high to push out numbers. Safety is a joke operators are expected to reach into moving machines to keep productivity up. LOTO is not encouraged even though they have safety signs about it everywhere. People come in and get distracted by how much money they can make and stick around until they get used to the pay and then get stuck because they cant afford a pay cut but can't work the hours anymore. Don't bother with them they could care less about you, your health and your family.
