Okay company

Business Outlook

Pros

Depending on the team the pay was pretty competitive and many of the managers were good.

Cons

The company is heavily invested in their team structure which causes a lot of variability between divisions and teams as far as how things are done and run by managers. This means that there’s a lot of good (team engagement, leaders who advocate), but also a lot of leaders who take advantage and play favorites.

AVOID! Former CEO retired, and the ship is sinking FAST

Pros

The people are overall kind, helpful, and driven to succeed. The current benefits package is outstanding.

Cons

The company's founder and long-time CEO Tony Golobic retired, and his son Martin took over. Besides being blatant nepotism, he has zero passion for the organization, its people, or the future of the company. Long-time high level leadership is leaving in droves, and those who remain are being pressured to cut costs everywhere possible. The company is a shell of what it once was in the short time since Martin officially took over. It seems likely that he is looking to cash out and run as soon as he's able - the general consensus inside the organization is that he's going to acquire a bank to do something his dad wasn't able to, then disappear with a big bag of cash from private equity. This was once one of the best employers in the state - the culture was second to none, and the leadership from top to bottom was kind, driven to succeed, and supportive. Those days are gone, and it is very unlikely they will ever be back.
