Benefits package is great - especially so for the CEO. She gets a lot of perks that nonprofits usually do not, including a salary that is five times that of staff, first class seats on flights, and hotels that are over $400/night.
Cons
The CEO is a terrible. She's unethical and the press has finally started writing about some of the illegal things she did. She's planning to leave this job now. This is not surprising - she did the same things in her last job and when the press got wind of it, she left.
The organization truly cares about each and every employee, and takes care of its workers as if they were family. There's a reason why people rarely leave the organization on bad terms (if ever), and past employees often return for company happy hours and other events.
Cons
The pace is very fast. Priorities can change on a dime, and sometimes weeks-long work done can be flipped upside down and require redoing (in part or in full). This tendency and other issues such as low professional growth opportunities lead to high turnover rates.
